Eligibility Criteria of Assam GNM Admission 2026
Candidates who want to take admission into GNM courses under the Government of Assam must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by SSUHS.
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December 2026.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess any one of the following educational qualifications.
Option 1
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English and secured at least 40% marks from a recognized board. Science stream candidates will get preference.
Option 2
Candidates who passed 10+2 with English and secured 40% marks in Vocational ANM course recognized by Indian Nursing Council are eligible.
Option 3
Candidates with 10+2 in Vocational Stream – Health Care Science from recognized CBSE/State/Central Board with 40% marks are also eligible.
Option 4
Registered ANM candidates with pass marks can also apply.
Physical Fitness
Students must be medically fit to pursue the nursing course.
Citizenship Criteria
Applicants must be citizens of India.
PRC Requirement
Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission into Government GNM institutes of Assam.
